Flooftopia Update (January 2022)

Introduction

We hope that everyone had a great year’s end and an even better beginning to 2022! The Flooftopia team has been hard at work, especially given Project Catalyst around the corner. With that said, we’re happy to be able to show off some progress we’ve made since Christmas.

Hiring

We all know that finding the right person for the job can be difficult, so we are happy to announce that there is a new member on the Red Potion Studios Team. Oleg is a 3D modeler and animator who will be hleping both AdaQuest and Flooftopia, so the good news is that all the individual parts and options for your Floof will be modeled by Oleg!

Funding & Stake Pool Rewards

As you know, we are seeking funding through our proposal on Project Catalyst’s Fund7. If you have registered for Project Catalyst voting, you will be able to vote for Flooftopia on January 13th starting at 1100 UTC. However, we wanted to ensure that we secure additional funding through other means, as well. We are currently looking at all available options and determining which would be best for the Flooftopia community, project, and team!

We can’t go into great detail on some of tee funding we have been seeking, but we will definitely keep the community up to date with any funding that we do receive.

Of course, if you want to help us out, we do run a stake pool where you can delegate your ADA to earn rewards and help us out. We are looking into different incentives we could create for users to stake in the LOOPS stake pool, such as fungible tokens, unique NFTs, or other rewards, but we are still ironing out the details.

Logos & Screenshots

In our last update, we talked about working on our logo. Now, we are happy to announce that Christian, our illustrator, has finished the Flooftopia logo. We think it encapsulates the cute and fun nature that we envision for Flooftopia, but we’d love to hear your thoughts on the logo.

Along with the logo, we have worked with Alex, our game designer, to create the first iteration of Nytt Floof, the town near where the player will begin their Flooftopia journey. PLEASE NOTE: This is the first iteration of Nytt Floof, and there will be much more development of Nytt Floof before the release of Flooftopia. In the meantime, we thought you would enjoy seeing some of the screenshots of the work that we have been doing!

CNFT Community Events

Those who have been following us might have heard about a weekly CNFT Community Gaming Event we host every Saturday at 1800 UTC. We paused it for two weeks during the holidays, but now we’re back! In fact, our last community event featured some members of the community and our team playing Among Us, and this can be viewed on our Twitch! If you want to catch next week’sevent or any future events, make sure to follow us on Twitter and join our Discord! We post more frequently there!
