Flooftopia Update (November 30, 2021)

Introduction

The team has been hard at work on Flooftopia. Whether developing lore or questlines, creating logos (coming soon!), marketing/community development, coding the customization functions, or seeking out addition talent, there has been a lot going on behind the scenes. Some more interesting, some a little more mundane, but all of it is important for the development of Flooftopia and its community!

This Week in Flooftopia:

This week the team has been focused on hiring a 3D modeler and animator, developing lore and questlines, creating weekly community events, and promoting blockchain gaming at the Indie GameFest! (We will cover these in a bit more detail below!)

With the lore and questlines, Alex (our game designer), Chris (our narrative designer), and I have been hard at work to create a compelling story to really immerse the player into the world of Flooftopia! We have a rough draft of the main questline and story that we are currently refining, and I can’t wait to release some teasers!

After receiving the rough draft of the main questline from Chris, Alex got to work creating the first iteration of the map for Flooftopia! Overall, it looks great, but we’d love to get your feedback!

With the logo and coding of the customization functions in the works, we will quickly move toward the weekly community events, but before we move on, I want to give everyone an approximate time when you will will be able to create your own NFT Floof! We are currently estimating Mid-2nd Quarter (Q2) of 2022.

Knowing that the Cardano Community is filled with so many unique people and projects, this past week we held Flooftopia’s first weekly community event on our Twitch Channel! We had many different Cardano NFT project teams and founders jump in to play some Crab Game! It was a great opportunity to get to know the community while also having fun doing it, but if you missed last week’s stream, we have great news! We plan on doing this weekly, and next week, on December 4th at 1800 UTC or noon CST, we will be playing some Among Us!
